Zimdom

This is a beautiful new human edited web directory made with AJAX and controlled by the users. Zimdom Zimdex Web Directory says it is creating a new search engine and really looks like they are taking on DMOZ finally.

Zimdex web directory is going to be controlled by the users as well. They say they will always give explanations and suggestions for websites submitted that weren’t accepted and give suggestions on changes to get in! DMOZ would never do that.

Zimdex web directory also is said to be aimed towards programmers, website designers, graphic artists, coders and Zimdom users that are sick of ugly websites and spam links in web directories. Zimdom also claims the users will decide what stays in the directory and what goes. They are creating a ranking system and rewards system for the directory and want input from all programmers, website designers, graphic artists and techies about how to make the directory better.

Zimdom’s Zimdex web directory looks incredible and I can’t wait to see this thing take off. This web directory looks like it is definitely the best web directory on the internet already and I think it will only get better. Also, they have a weird image on their pages and call it Zim. They continue to ask “What is Zim?” They have some really great and cool ideas and I can’t wait to see what zim is and what Zimdom turn into. I guess it is up to the users.
