Unique, fully formed, deeply affecting and without peer, Joanna Newsom’s second full length collection is perhaps the most visionary album to be released since Radiohead’s “OK Computer”.
It’s certainly not easy, but if you bear with it, and afford it the patience it deserves, you will be astonished.
A wizard, a true star…..
(ok, I know it hasn’t been officially released yet, but I accidentally keep standing next to a stereo in my house that has somehow ended up with a less-than-legal copy lodged in the cd player. And yes, of course I’ll be buying it when it comes out – somebody needs to keep her in harpstrings…)
