Firstly, he’s speaking in a French accent, so the ‘h’ is silent, and he does precede the ‘hamster’ with ‘an’ in the sketch.
Also, in real English all words beginning with h should be preceded with ‘an’ regardless of pronunciation because those bloody foreigners invaded all those years ago and perverted our language. ;)
