How could anyone ever come up with a better reason?
I like Windows :*
Hey isn’t Vista supposed to be good?
Nobody’s sure if Vista is any good, we may never know at this rate.
Why wait? Buy a Mac!
We will know if vista is good in a couple of years, but stop waiting, buy a mac!
Exactly as the above two commenters say. You could wait until 2007 for Vista which is roughly as good as the Mac OS is now, or you could buy a Mac now, enjoy the Vista quality of it now and then upgrade to Leopard this Christmas which will make Vista look pretty shoddy I am sure.
Vista took six years to develop. Compare that to the fact that a new version of Mac OS X comes out roughly every 18 months.
Yeah, but Mac OS X is a continuous update of the same underlying OS. Hence the point releases of each new version. Tiger is X.4, before that, Panther was X.3, and so on and so on…. Such is the flexibility of Unix.
Mac OS X lived in development in many incarnations for many years before X.0 was released in 2001. The Rhapsody project of the late 1990’s was one of these. When Steve Jobs announced that every version of OS X since day one was compiled for both Intel and PowerPC processors, this included the Rhapsody project.
I was fortunate enough to have come across a beta of Rhapsody around this time and had it installed and running on an old Pentium 166Mhz, problem was, no software was being compiled for it as it was only a development platform.
The man who developed this site ran the first commercially released version of OS X .
OS X server 1 ran on his old beige G3 in the late 1990’s it looked a lot like Mac OS 9 .
But more importantly Unix has been in constant development since the late 1960’s
Seven years to write a new version of Windows… Funny thing is each new version of Windows is bigger, more bloated and more difficult to use.
Computing is supposed to about, well, computing. Not stuffing about with the operating system.
Just like the arrogant commercials say, get a mac. Now.
Come on – Windows sucks! It’s all about trouble, firewalls, antivirusupdates, malware, has a worn out interface and a usability that totally sucks… Vista won’t be a big help… it will provide features (some day) OS X already has and even try to add WOW -things to Windows like true Drag’n’Drop lol. Plus – you will have to buy powerful new Hardware to be able to run it smoothly… hooohah!
how can people can buy this
-shit!awful >:[
Do NOT buy a mac.
The best use of error message. True.
Mac OS X Leopard. Introducing Vista 2.0
Windows sucks. it constantly crashes on my machine, and is ridiculously slow. I went out, bought an iMac, and I’m happy =)
So many people says mac’s better, and make very good arguments. Actually i’m just switching. But can the windowsfans make some good arguments for Windows? Come on!
Nope. Just familiarity. :)
Windows is the most simple and stylish Operating System out there: Leave mac out of the equation.
To all you Mac users way to buy a $1500 disposible computer that when it gets fucked you can't replace the one thing thats fucked, YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER! They should really make those things bio-degradable or something. Plus it doesn't play games. Windows fucking Se7en for the WIN!
@phileplanet No.
Imho, Windows > Mac. Just no competition.
