Wikipedia is a multilingual, Web-based free content encyclopedia project. The name is a portmanteau of the words wiki and encyclopedia. Wikipedia is written collaboratively by volunteers, allowing most articles to be changed by almost anyone with access to the Web site. Its main servers are in Tampa, Florida, with additional servers in Amsterdam and Seoul.

Hands down one of the most useful things on the net. Im sure it’s what the founding fathers at had in mind for the web.
Hell Yeah! It’s pretty much single-handedly getting me though uni, albeit with the occasional discrepancy.
Best Encyclopedia? probably. Though i like to keep E.Brittanica as a back up.

Wikipedia id the obvious choice for the first source of information but you probably want consult also other sources to be on the safe side. However Wikipedia has never let me down.

The most informative site about anything, love it.
Good phun to be had at Wiki, but hardly a reputable source of information. One particular WIRED author refered to it as an ‘argument nexus’ – which is probably spot on.
