it is now a “dwarf planet”.in my life it has been both a planet and not a planet.
plutos moon is nearly az big as pluto its self nd theres always bin qwerees over wether its a plantet or nt but they found an outer planet that was bigger than pluto . 4 sum reason they cundt call the other plant a planet offically wiv out degradin pluto. big in retrospect it waz a good choice

Well, didn’t Pluto only become a planet because some people was hyping it all up, and calling it planet X. And when they finally got a look at it, it was smaller then the moon. But i guess they just wanted it to be a planet very bad, cuz they’ve said it was.??

Only they’re astronomers. Which means that they most likely won’t be coming up with a cure for cancer.
Anyway, they either had to add Ceres and Eris and all those other new dwarf planets to the list of full-fledged planets, or demote Pluto. Demoting Pluto made more sense, I think.
My question is how long have they been discussing Plutos fate?? Surely it must have occurred to someone a while ago that Pluto didn’t fit the criteria. Now, do I hear correctly, is Pluto facing even more hardship. . No longer a dwarf planet?
I guess soon or later the damd bastards will tell us that Pluto do not exist at all. :(
I really can’t see why anyone is getting upset over the “demotion” of a little chunk of icy rock out in the middle of a swarm of other icy chunks of rock (some of which are more planet-like than it is).

Well, I never really saw Pluto with my own eyes but still, I want to see it before it goes off from our system. It’s new name sucks… Would you care if you’re named with numbers?
Look around you, we are!! Try calling anyplace, you need your account number, invoice number, order number, employee number, last 4 digits of your soc.#, loan number, etc.; and once they have that then they ask for your name!! We have lost our identity, everybody says poor Pluto; I say poor us.
Pluto’s still in our system, Hao L. Red. And it hasn’t changed at all, astronomers just classify it differently. You can still see it.

Well, if Pluto should fit the definition of a planet, it would have to be a lot bigger for one thing. I think I can remember a little astronomy from school. It was some astronomers who discovered what they thought was a planet. They couldn’t see it properly, i think. They called it Planet X, and it was just news all over the world that a new planet in our solar system has been discovered. But when they finally could see Pluto right, it wasn’t really a planet. But they made it so, because of… Well, i dunno.:/ Maybe they thought: Fuck! It isn’t a planet. Well, let’s just say it is. Okay.
