Wheesung

최휘성 (CHOI WHEESUNG) is a well known Korean R&B artist.  Wheesung debuted his singing career with a Korean boy band called A4.  He later joined M Boat, a sister company of YG Entertainment.  Wheesung also known as Real Slow had few years of vocal training from YG  and released his first solo album Like A Movie.  One of his notable songs which is actually key to his career launch was from his first album entitled 안 되나요 (An dwenayo or Can’t We). 

He has a total of 5 full length albums released:

He collaborated with some of the best artists in Korea and became known as a lyricist to a lot of Korean Singers.  Wheesung left YG Entertainment after his contract expired on 2006.  He joined Orange Shock and released his 5th album (first under the said label) last September 2007.  He is currently working on his 6th album set to be launched later October of 2008.

Why i think Wheesung is the best R&B singer in Korea?

Aside from being the best Korean R&B Male Singer, I even think he is one of the best male music artists in Korea.  He has a very strong vocal power that is flexible enought to give life to different music genre.  While he specializes on R&B and Ballad, Wheesung can likewise rap.  His Eternal Essence of Music album displays his versitility as an artist singing songs with hint of Bossa, Reggae and Jazz to the usual R&B and power Ballad that he is known for.
