I heard that being a vegetarian has to do something with stopping global warming. Does anyone know if that is true? Well I am a vegetarian.

Please remember that animals need food too! Eating one kilo of meat consumes more plantlife than eating one kilo of vegetables. Read also this article about global warming and vegetarians: Vegetarian is the New Prius

Miumiu is right. Vegetarianism is also linked to ending world hunger.

it's not a problem about quantity. we have in the world enough food for everyone. so in this you are not right. But it's a fact that if you use the land, reserved for producing cow and pig food, for weat a lot more people will get feeded. There are just some pro's and against. The world never is easy you know.

The biggest problem about world hunger still is war, anarchy and dictatorship. With those in the world there will always be people starving.

I'm vegetarian, but I don't eat dairy products or eggs.
Mostly because I haven't really liked them ever.
Though I do have fish.
Couldn't live without sushi, dude

Fish is/are still meat.

Fish might not be cute & cuddly, but it is still meat.  So, you aren't really a vegetarian then.  There aren't different kinds of Vegetarians (don't shoot me, it's true).

Vegetarians don't eat meat, any meat.  Eggs that aren't yet fertalized are not meat.

Vegans eat no meat or animal bi-products (eggs, milk)

Never heard of the term 'Vegefishians'

i dont like to tell anyone how to live their lifes. people like to debate or talk bout why vegitarians r what they are..  a point against it is oh its natural to eat meat... it Was.. we've evolved enough so we do not HAVE to eat meat.

its funny when people say they're saving the enviorment eating cows?? like eliminating methane/? but the reason we have so much is because theres a high demand for it. stop buying beef to save enviorment not eat beacuse for everyone you eat theres more replacing it.

I think the term for a vegetarian who eats fish is a "pesco-vegetarian".

And I'm a vegetarian, but not because I want to save the world or anything... I just never liked meat to begin with -.- This way, I wont be forced to eat it against my will XD
