“Telephone call? That’s communication with the outside world. Doctor’s discretion. Nuh-uh. Look, hey – all of these nuts could just make phone calls, they could spread insanity, oozing through telephone cables, oozing into the ears of all these poor sane people, infecting them. Wackos everywhere, plague of madness.”
That’s a succesful adaptation of “The Jetty”. “The Jetty” was very experimental (black and white, story told in photographs…). Gilliam altered the plot to realise a more commercial movie but didn’t misrepresent the strangeness of the original movie, a great film!

Marvellous film, thrilling and moving as well. One of Gilliam’s best!
Typically Gilliam… very depressive.
Love Brad Pitt’s performance.
Depressing but oddly romantic. Ah, the scene where Stowe finally sees the boy… °sigh°

yeah, I’ve seen it after 12M and I still thought Gilliam’s work was brilliant.
@ evil-mist. Since weeks I try to remember the name of a movie. It’s “sans soleil”. Thanks your link I finally find it. Thank you very very much. :)
