Rede Globo (Portuguese: Globe Network) better known as Globo or TV Globo is Latin America's biggest television network. It is also the third biggest TV channel in the world, watched by 80 million people daily.
TV Globo Internacional operates satellite television channels around the world, including the United States, Mexico, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Japan, Macau, East Timor, Africa (especially PALOP), and Australia, bringing a mix of entertainment, news and sports programming to Brazilian and other Portuguese-speaking people. It also operated a similar channel in Portugal, called TV Globo Portugal, since Octuber 2007.
TV Globo Internacional in the U.S. was historically only carried by the satellite service Dish Network but as of January 2007 it is carried on Comcast in select markets and by DirecTV satellite service.
