TOMS Shoes was and continues to be a vision of Blake Mycoskie, an ordinary SoCal kinda guy. After traveling parts of the world, one being Argentina, Blake encountered a need that he had no idea existed. More than 80% of children in Argentina were shoeless, leaving huge health issue concerns. Blake then felt called to do something; to meet this need around the world. He didn't just want to give money to the cause though, but rather tangibly meet this need. Blake came up with the vision of TOMS (Shoes for Tomorrow) Shoes, a company with a commitment to match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair donated to a child in need!! Just that simple..One for One..now thats meeting a physical need! Blake used the national Argentine shoe as his model, creating many different styles, colors, and patterns for TOMS. Some pretty sweet shoes if I must say! But TOMS is more than the shoes, it's about an amazing story...a story that you become part of when you buy a pair!! This is what TOMS is all about!
