Well, I am new here, but I come prepared with many years of experience relating to this topic!

Here some of the many benefits to feeding the toilet roll from the back:

• Added arm room for purposes regarding the manipulation of the toilet paper.

• Additional ease of tear along the perforation. (Simply make a sudden tearing motion with the hand holding the toilet paper. This is much different from the two-handed version of tearing required in the front feeding version.)

• More control of toilet paper flow, preventing the ever-annoying “extra loop” hanging from the roll, which comes from re-rolling the toilet paper after too many sheets have unrolled.

• Also, feeding the roll from the back is simply better spiritually. The universe has a best answer for every question, and I’m afraid for all of you die-hard rolled-over-the-top fans, that answer is feeding from the bottom. Not only have I experienced better karma after converting, but I feel more at peace and in tune with nature.

• Finally, as a very small child, I used to complain to my mother about the roll being in the “wrong” way. I switched it around, only to have it changed back again the next day. It was the bain of my existence until I got a bathroom to myself! (Well, not literally. But it accentuates the point.)

The decision lies before you. I want you to make the right choice, and that choice is rolling under the bottom!

Cheers,

Kittilyn

The score is now 88 – 15, if you go by the front page of the topics. But we shall endure no end of relentless teasing because of our paper product beliefs!

You know what’s crazy? When I was a child and in daycare, the daycare provider insisted on the ridiculous rule of having us use just (one) square of toilet paper. It makes me laugh just thinking about it to this day.

How is using one sheet going to help anything? My take on this is: if you use one sheet, yeah you’ll conserve paper (whatever), but you will “waste” that much more water washing the S**T off your hands!! XD

Wanna conserve paper? use my air dry technique, I keep a little fan in my bathroom and instead of TP I just maneuver the fan… why are you all staring at me like that? Too much info? Well i-i was just cough k-kidding anyway ahahahhahahhha… ho-boy…

wow, what a stimulationg conversation/arguement you all are having over the position of TP. XD

Alright, well I didn't know there was all this controversy on the topic lol. I just stumbled upon this while searching for "toilet seat covers" so I'm very late to the fight. Anyhoo, I went to the bathroom just to test this out and I found that when I overthink it, I can barely remember how I naturally pull the TP XD. But there are so many factors anyway: which side of the wall it's on, which hand(s) you pull with, your method of tearing, how much is left, etc... (I tested this with a nearly empty roll, FYI, which is probably a better representation anyway).

I think in the end it's just to each his (or her) own. My method tends to habilitate better tearing and peace of mind when it rolls from the front. I like how it looks and it's comfortable for me. I've taken into account the suggestions of the sort of issues feeding from the back can alleviate, however I don't find myself having these issues in the first place. Perhaps it's the angle or swiftness of the tear. I find the back to be more difficult, personally.

I'll gladly make myself vote #105 ^_^.
