This very popular song has been covered many times.The first single(sung by Franki Valli)released in 1965, was quickly revamped and became a monster hit for the Walker Brothers in 1966.The band "Keane"have recently recorded the song but my personal favourite is the version recorded by Cher on her 1996 album "It's A Mans' World"which she released as a fourth European single and reached number 26 in the U.K. music charts.Here she is performing the song on "Top Of The Pops"-a show much missed by my generation!
