I’ve seen all the top films listed here—several times, and I agree that “Hedwig” is a close second. RENT is a strong production, but I notice that critics sometimes refer to it as an “alleged” rock musical. Is this because it has more pop to it than such purists like? I also notice that certain musical “experts” who otherwise hate Rocky Horror still grudgingly admit that Tim Curry’s first appeatance is the greatest of all musical entrances.

I’m voting for “Rocky Horror” over “Hedwig” because I remember the clothes and wigs from “Hedwig” more than the music. Then again, I’ve seen “Rocky Horror” many, many more times than “Hedwig.”

Rocky Horror is MUCH better than Hedwig IMHO , but I grew up loving Rocky Horror yet only recently saw Hedwig so I suppose that I’m biased. Plus Tim Curry is sexy.
Has anyone gone to the live shows? AMAZING . A guaranteed good time.
The live shows are amazing but they keep geting harder and harder to find!
I remember the first time I went to a theatre to see this movie, and all of the characters that acted out the movie while it was going on. I remember thinking, "Hey, I can't hear the movie", I quickly found out that was the idea.
It made it so much more enjoyable.
question: when you go to live shows, what do you wear? i've yet to go to one.
