The British version is better

I’m British. And the US version pwns the British one in my opinion.

yeah, I’m not sure why, but I really prefer the US version. I personally didn’t care for the plotline as much in the UK, or the acting, although some of the actors were brilliant.

Some Brits made a good comedy. But decided to make only 12 episodes. The americans came along and fleshed the idea out and they’ve made 40+ episodes so far. Its a pity Ricky Gervais didn’t want to make any more episodes but i’m glad the americans did.

Without a shadow of a doubt, “The Office” (US version) is the best television. Ever. Long live Dunder Mifflin!!

This show belongs in its own category. And as far as the the original series, it was awkward. The us version is both awkward AND funny therefore winning

^ The first episode of the US version was a literally a shot-for-shot remake of the first UK episode, complete with staplers in jello. Since then, they’ve gone in their own directon, with original storylines that are still similar in spirit to the UK version. I know a lot of people have strong preferences for one or the other, but I enjoy both.

The major US characters are all directly based on the British characters, with analogus names. The sense of humor is a bit less subtle and bit more outwardly goofy, but in good a way. It’s still a mockumentary, it still excels at insanely painful awkwardness, and the frustrating Tim-Dawn dynamic lives on.

Steven Carell is very, very good. I was touchy about the idea of anyone other than Ricky Gervais playing the David Brent character, but Carrell has done as well as anyone possibly could, and really made “Micheal” his own creation. The US “Dwight” is a lot more over-the-top than Garreth, almost cartoonish, but he gets some wonderfully absurd punchlines. “Jim” is less of a loser than Tim, but still loveable. And I fail to know anyone who does not have a crush on Pam (Dawn). :-)

Remember that time when Michael was all like being all rude and stuff, and then Pam was all like freaked out and stuff, and then Michael was all like, Just kidding, and she was all like You’re a jerk, and he was all like, Well I don’t know about that, and then she left and was all mad, oh my goodness, that was like soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo like totally funny and stuff, I was all like laughing and stuff and was like that is so like funny and like I laughed some more because it was so like funnny and stuff and I don’t know but it was all like funny and stuff, you know?

Oh no…..... I killed it. I feel like Charlie Brown that time he was all like trying to do something good, and like bought that little Christmas tree and like brought it back, and like put and ornament on it and it like fell over, you know? Except now it was with o’s that go all horozontal and stuff instead of going down, oh no I’m so sorry, I like didn’t mean to do that, I like feel so like bad right now, I’m like soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry you guys, I so like really am.

I cannot get enough of this show. I guess it's just my kind of humour becaue I laugh no matter how many times I've seen an episode! And if you're a big fan of the show you totally need to see the deleted scenes becuase they're almost as funny as the actual show itself… just stuff that they cut for time reasons not becuase it wasn't good material.
