A group of 3 conspiracy theorists in “The X-Files” (played by Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund and Bruce Harwood as Frohike, Langly and Byers, respectively).
The parts were originally written as minor comic relief in the first season’s “E.B.E.” episode, but writers Glen Morgan and James Wong, who had originated the characters, used them again in an important “mythology” episode of the 2nd season, inspiring the show’s writers to make the characters more central.
Mulder’s go-to guys eventually got their own (short-lived) spin-off series.
