The Lemonheads are an indie/alternative/punk band, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but now based in New York City. The primary (and only consistent) member is Evan Dando. While Dando's penchant for melody-driven tunes makes him a favorite amongst the indie community, his song structures display obvious punk and 80s-rock influences, especially on earlier albums, as well as a hint of country here and there, most noticeably on Dando's solo album, Baby I'm Bored. After a nine-year hiatus following their previous album, Car Button Cloth, Dando has reformed the band with ex-members of the Descendents to record a new self-titled album, The Lemonheads.
