A 1998 Pultizer Prize and PEN /Faulkner Award-winning novel by Michael Cunningham that tells a story of three women Virginia Wolff, (Nicole Kidman) Clarissa Vaughn (Meryl Streep), and Laura Brown (Julianne Moore), who all live in different decades of American life, and how they intertwine in the span of one day.

The film was directed by Stephen Daldry, and the soundtrack created by Phillip Glass which was inspired my Cunningham’s brilliant novel.

I haven't read Cunningham's novel yet. Nevertheless, before I watched "The Hours" I'd already read Mrs. Dalloway by Woolf. It's a great movie. I have watched it six times. It made me cry. I love the character that Julianne Moore played. "I chose life": incredible!
