"The Great Gig in the Sky" is the fifth track from Pink Floyd's 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon. It features soaring some dreamy, soaring vocals -- voice instrumental music -- by Clare Torry. The song builds up from a quiet rhythmic pulsation to a fantastic, cleansing cascade of emotions before it withdraws into a subdued, almost mourning finish.
