The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross (Shinshi Domei Kurosu)

The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross (Shinshi Domei Cross or Shinshi Domei Kurosu, can also be shortened to ShinKuro) is an on-going shoujo manga series created by Arina Tanemura, a popular manga-ka of the anime and manga Full Moon wo Sagashite (Searching for the Full Moon) and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (Phantom Thief Jeanne).

The story focuses on Haine Otomiya, a 15-year-old high school student at the elite private Imperial Academy (Teikoku Gakuen), was sold to foster parents for fifty million yen. Once a yanki, Haine reformed when she met Shizumasa Togu, who told her to live her own life the way she wants. She fell in love with Shizumasa and as a result, enrolled in the Imperial Academy to try and win his love.

She finds out that Shizumasa is the emperor (Koutei) of the school. Being the president of the student council and the only member of the gold class, he is looked up to by fellow students at the school. Through various circumstances, Haine is tricked by Maora, a student council member, into becoming his bodyguard and joining the student council. However, Shizumasa claims not to know her and is unexpectedly cold towards her, and finds it harder to win his love. Haine strives through many obstacles at the academy to win over Shizumasa, and goes as far as to being his pretend platinum.
