Well basically, it’s the best cringe-worthy evening of EXTREME tackiness that theres is on telly all year.
But it’s most enjoyable if you approach it from an ironic angle, snuggle down in your armchair with a cup of hot chocolate and let Terry Wogan guide you through the nights proceedings.
Only in europe could such an appallingly bad event be staged.
Only in Britain could it have such a cult following purely for the irony of it.
Brilliant.

Terry Wogan: the best reason to watch Eurovision.
I have only seen a few of the songs via YouTube (being an American and all), but based on those I agree that’s it’s so bad that it has achieved greatness. I love the Young Ones sketch where Mussolini sings the song about stupid noises.
Its simply the best. Was anyone else displeased at the results of this years one? All the Baltic states were voting for eachother. Its not about the music anymore. Shame.
I was extremely displeased that Ukraine didn’t win.

I completely agree :( I voted for Ukraine, and it seems most people did. I don’t understand where Serbia got all their votes from.
Its cause countries just vote for eachother and for their neighbours. They don’t give a damn bout the music. I also voted for Ukraine. They sooo should have won.
Ukraine wasn’t bad. but the best were the Bulgarian drummers.
They were alright. The drumming was fantastic but the womans singing didn’t match the song.
