I started listen The Doors’s music after I had seen the movie. This friend of mine had some albums on audio tapes. Do you remember those dam’ things? Anyway, he had a bottle of Palinka and two glasses. I have no memories of that night. Excepting THE END . This song is still haunting me.
I didn't realize just how much I liked the Doors, until it just happened to be that whenever I heard a song on the radio that I liked, it turned out to be the Doors. "People Are Strange"
I was turned onto the Doors by my older brother. I think that they are one of the best rock bands ever. Just remember Morrison sang that love is the answer!!
As far as I know the Doors took their name from Aldous Houxley book The Doors of Perception about his mescalin experiences. Aldous Houxely took the name of his book from the poem 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell' by William Blake.
Amazing band I played along with the whole lot of LA Woman this mornin while I was meant to be in school…Hyacinth House has to be one of the most perfect songs ever written

Beside the Beatles the Doors will probably be the only band of the late 20th century that can stay for centuries. As far humanity will stay.
PS: oh well... and many others...

Did you know...
The bands name was taken from a William Blake poem 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell'
"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is: Infinite."
Did you know The Beatles took their name from the 1959 book "Life and Times of a Dung Beatle"?
I dunno why they didn't call the band the windows, the skylights, the revolving doors or the patio doors.
The Doors are my idols....
I love L.A. Woman, and the revolving doors kinda sounds like a lame indie rock band
