The Adventures of Pete and Pete

The Adventures of Pete and Pete was about Pete, Pete’s brother Pete, Ellen (Pete’s friend who was a girl but not a girlfriend), Artie: the Strongest Man…in the World, Petunia (little Pete’s gorgeous pinup tattoo that danced when he asked her to), Pete & Pete’s dad, their mom, and their mom’s metal plate.

One of the best shows I ever watched growing up, this is the stuff childhood was made for. One episode saw Ellen questioning the world (and all her math teachers) with the simplest and most annoying question ever: “Why?” Another had Pete, Pete, and Ellen trying to befriend the Ice Cream Man, only to realize he was terrified to get close to people. And yet another saw Little Pete try to time travel during Daylight Savings by riding his bike through the time zones.

I guess it’s one of those shows that, if you didn’t watch it growing up in the 90s, you may not understand. But if you were a part of the Nickelodeon Generation, you remember it and love it.
