Talim (タリム, Tarimu) is a character in the Soul series of fighting games. Since her debut in Soulcalibur II, fans regard her as one of the cutest characters in the game due to her short stature, young age, innocence, and modesty. She particularly gained popularity as a tiny girl taking on much larger male characters. She continued in Soulcalibur III, then in Soulcalibur IV as an unlockable character, and is recently confirmed to appear in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny .
The designers of Soulcalibur II created Talim around the concept of her signature elbow blades in order to distinguish her from the other characters. The initial character design was templated for a young girl, which the makers felt that the series lacked. Through the series, her main costume designs have had ornate tribal accesories.
What lies in her soul is Purity.
