Taiji Sawada (born 12th July 1966) is a japanese musician and songwriter.
He has been part of X (later X Japan) from 1985 to 1992 and left the band due to differences with the bandleader Yoshiki.
Later he joined bands like Kings, Cloud Nine, D.T.R. and Loudness. With his younger sister he made the band Otokaze.
He is well known for being a slap bassist and his unique bass tapping skills.
