Sweeney Todd aka Benjamin Barker returns to London after being sent away by Judge Turpin with the help of a sailor, Anthony Hope. He opens a barber shop above Mrs. Lovetts Meat Pie Shop, where she sells "the worst pies in London". With the help of Mrs. Lovett, Todd tries to get rid of all the people who have ever done him wrong and hopes to be reunited with his daughter, Joanna, who is now Judge Turpins ward.

I saw it! Johnny Depp can't sing!
That doesn't really matter though! If he stays true to his character, that's what really counts. I thought he did an excellent job!

I was a Sweeney Todd fan waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before it came out in theatres XD I always sat and watched the original film-the play on film-with my mom when I was younger…No wonder I turned out the way I did =^^= I hope they didn't ruin it…although I'm glad they chose Johnny to play Benjamin…that was a good move <3
i really want to see it and keep begging my parents to let me see it but its a 18 and im like, 4yrs younger than that, so im really jealous of anyone whos seen it .

when i saw this movie i immediately fell in love with it, and johnny depp was phenominal in this movie and he was an awesome singer!! I cried in the end. . .sooo sad.

Just wonderful! Johnny Depp was great, even with the singing, and Helena Bonham Carter is great as well! It's so touching... the ending broke my heart. And awesome songs! I fell in love with this movie!

Sweeney Todd is the most kick ass best musical EVER!!
Anyone who says Johnny Depp can’t sing is just jealous of his amazingness. I saw tons of reviews by actual movie critics that said his singing was find for that role – and it was. Maybe he’s not opera material, but he sang really well, and his songs were all in character.
Oh, and this movie was AWESOME. It was so beautifully and powerfully filmed.
The fake blood is supposed to stand out. If you watch other Tim Burton films, he likes to to creative things with color. In this movie, he made everything dark – and he made the blood ridiculously red. It was an artistic choice.
