i could not disagree with you more. mediocre writer? that's far too kind. she's terrible. if she were to take a writing class, and she really should, the passages of hers that i've read would receive about a C.
the plot is essentially pornography that appeals to some sort of unspoken desire for repression and sumbission in some modern american female's psyche. there's a reason why we've moved away from victorian-era notions of love -- women deserve better.
i'd write more, but i have to go bite a vampire baby out of my girlfriend's tummy... with my teeth. then she's gonna be a super-vampire!
She is a terrible author IMO.
