Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello and Amy Sedaris met in the late 1980’s as members of the Second City comedy troupe in Chicago, Illinois. They quickly became friends, and in 1995 developed “Exit 57”, a sketch comedy show for Comedy Central. In 1999 they began working on “Strangers With Candy”, a comedy show based on the after school specials of the 70’s and 80’s. After the show was cancelled in 2000 they joined together to author the book “Wigfield.” In 2005 they wrote, starred in, produced and directed the big screen version of “Strangers With Candy” which was released in July 2006. They continue to work together on various projects.
