One of the more successful ST movies. They threw out the established Zefram Cochrane story from the original series - not that many would notice - and came up with a reasonably taut thriller. I was technically impressed (at the time) by the shot which draws back from Locutus in the Borg hive, but that sort of thing is all too easy these days. Incidentally, William Shatner wanted a similar (opening?) shot for ST V: The Final Frontier and was denied it on the grounds of cost.
God knows the film could have used it.
Oh... and while I did manage to see ST: Insurrection at the local multiplex (not very impressed) I didn't get a chance to see ST: Nemesis on the big screen because it vanished more quickly than the Lusitania. Having wasted good money on a DVD copy, I can see why.
