okay so im a trekie and a scifi buff( or is that geek i forget)lol.
It is curious how DS9 is not usually voted the best of the Treks when it is obviously the best one.
Next Generation has thei cotton candy goody two shoes butter won't melt in its mouth image that makes me want to puke sometimes. I don't have a problem with idealism but it can be taken beyond the point of being stupid. I wanted to shoot Picard in the head at the end of the Pegasus episode. It is like he has a different personality in Starship Mine.
The DS9 episode In the Pale Moonlight best eximplifies the difference in atmosphere.
