Spiders are your friends. Embrace the spiders! (And yes, they eat all the mosquitos if you leave them be when they get into your house.) I understand.. you need to avoid the Brown Recluses and Black Widows, but in general, spiders are cute and friendly little helpers.
i love insects, really, but SPIDERS, argh, i hate all them, the little ones are.... acceptable, BUT, the big ones, looks like one evil beast, totally scary.....and YES i have aracnofobia

i rly rly rly hate them. just have to kill it when i see them. otherwise i cant stop thinking about it.
for several years i lived close to a almost stagnant river. i hat guardian spiders in every room. and no dmd insects.
