Son of Schmilsson is an album by Harry Nilsson. The album was a stark change of pace from his chart topping Nilsson Schmilsson. Nilsson was being pressured to produce a follow-up to Nilsson Schmilsson but instead he cut a more eccentric album.
The recording sessions for this album were extensively filmed on the request of Nilsson for a planned documentary called "Did somebody drop his mouse?". Although Nilsson recorded additional narration, work on subsequent albums saw the documentary committed to the vaults of RCA. Some of the musicians playing on the album: Nicky Hopkins, Klaus Voorman, Peter Frampton, Bobby Keys, George Harrison (George Harrysong), Ringo Starr (Richie Snare).
