Themes include: political ideology, the role of technology in society, privacy, security, computer security, espionage, trust issues, friendship, humanitarianism, the failure of Communism, the risks and rewards of capitalism, finding both good and evil in unexpected places, positive and negative influences at work in the United States, and the government's role in domestic surveillance.
