Whereas the other Three Wise Monkeys (Mizaru - see no evil; Kikazaru - hear no evil; Iwazaru - speak no evil) went on to great fame and fortune, Shizaru - arguably the most important of the four - represents do no evil (seen on the right of the picture, holding his crotch) but is rarely seen nowadays.
