Um, it could never happen. If they got together, there would be no Harry (thus, no story), sheesh.
Well, of course! But of course, most of these slash couples could never happen anyways!
That's just the point.. to ponder what might have happened had it been possible.
Aww it's soooo sad! I cried while reading DH at the part when Dumbledore saw Snape's patronus and he asked:
- Still, Severus?
And he replied:
- Always.

so there would be no harry potter!

Although I really hate any Lily/Guy other than James pairing, this was so heart-wrenching! ;__; Poor Snapey.
It's nice to see I'm not the only one who cried reading this flashback. Aww Snape is such a good character.
