Saying Goodbye to people You Love

So good and yet so bad :)

I hate farewells, like everyone does. It’s one of the most sentimental moments of someone’s life.

Yeah. But absence makes the heart grow fonder. So its good when they come back :) If they don’t come back…well…

If they don’t come back.. yeah. Tragedy :)

If they aren’t coming back you have something good with which to remember them by :)

Remembering them by a hurtful instant. No, thanx. I’d better erase them (like they did in the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind :)).

Well i was thinking more along the lines of saying goodbye to a close friend or family member. Ex girlfriends should drop dead never mind being erased lol

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind should have ended with them falling in love again and staying together. That would have been better :)

But they met again as I remember. So the film was kind of meaning that you cannot escape love, or faith :)

Maybe i saw a different ending to you. In what i watched they discovered why they had erased each other. And they decided to go their separate ways to avoid getting bored of each other again. Happy endings are best :)

Maybe I should watch the film again. And maybe my ending was different because I made it up the way I wanted it to end :)

mister quaternions, you missed the very end, then. they did decide to go their seperate ways, but then they rushed back to each other and said they might as well give it another try. clem said something like “what if it’s bad” and then the dude said “so?” or something… anywho. it was a nice ending.

That didn’t happen in the movie i saw. I watched the ending twice cos i didn’t grasp what happened the first time. I thought the ending was totally rubbish, now i know why :)

Love doesn’t neccessarily mean boyfriend. It can mean family and friends.

When I had to move to another country I was devasted. But even more devasted when I had to say goodbye to my best friend. Now we only see eachother once every 3 years.

“Don’t be dismayed by goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.”

Just said goodbye to my best most amazing friend on Friday, and I hope, hope, hope we can be friends again someday.

I just recently had to leave one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known…because he graduated. =(

I hope that’s not the last time I see him…

I often cry when I watch movies or read books that involve some form of saying goodbye. It's always hard. I hope I"ll someday come across those I've lost touch with once again.
