Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, better known as Sandro Botticelli ("little barrels"; March 1, 1445 – May 17, 1510)1 was an Italian painter of the Florentine school during the Early Renaissance (Quattrocento). Less than a hundred years later, this movement, under the patronage of Lorenzo de' Medici, was characterized by Giorgio Vasari as a "golden age", a thought, suitably enough, he expressed at the head of his Vita of Botticelli. His posthumous reputation suffered until the late 19th century; since then his work has been seen to represent the linear grace of Early Renaissance painting, and The Birth of Venus and Primavera rank now among the most familiar masterpieces of Florentine art.

Thanks for appreciating! ;-)
The redhead in the fourth picture is a knockout! Her hair just looks too good :D
Yeah I know, she and David are the symbol of Renaissance beauties in Florence… She is Venus, the Goddess of Love- as you might know…;
) But of course there must have been a model for that painting too!! ;)She’s mesmerising she is. I could look at her all night lol. I’m also betting Botticelli liked the ladies a bit more than Michelangelo lol
Hahahahah!!!!!!! I am sorry to disappoint you, but Botticelli is thought to be gay as well. He had good taste anyway!!!
Jee it’s a wonder there are any Italians at all now lol. I defy even a gay guy not to fancy her! lol
Most geniuses and artists are gay, so no surprise all of the best artists are. Think of Leonardo da Vinci. But yes, I think he chose well!!
I suppose if Botticelli hadn’t been gay he’d have been too busy chatting the model up to paint her this well lol
Yeah absolutely!! LOL
Perhaps you are descended from her :D
Well no she is too different… did you forget I am a brunette? ;-)
I think you have part of a goddess in you :D Maybe not the hair tho :D
Well there may be dark haired goddesses!! lol!! No, I am not … I am a silly girl! lol
In my book the more silly the better :D
A lovely choice-"Best Stuff" is turning into an impressive Art Gallery!
