Sakura used to be really annoying. After Sasuke left, she got better.

i used to hate sakura so much. I wanted to burn her T_T so badly. I remeber playing darts on her head, because she was always sasuke-kun -ing. plain annoying. but then in shippuden, i saw her change and i love her now ^^. She has a strong character and she really matured, and her love for sasuke is just like a team bond, the same love she has for naruto (exclude the boxing him on the head) yes i am defending sakura >:[ and i do like her, shes a strong person.  

oh and i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE sasuke. i want Kishimoto-san to kill him off the naruto manga. I want him to die >.> anyone read the manga lately? its so depressing. the more for sasuke to die :@@@@@ his head is like a chickens backside if anyone has noticed.

The only Naruto character I still like.

It amazes me that so many people have no concept of character development or realistic flaws. Sure, Hinata is shy and under-confident, but those are endearing qualities that make you feel sorry for her. She becomes the victim and you want to cheer her on. In a sense they’re not really character flaws at all. Flaws are turn-offs. People complain so much about Mary Sues, but when they come across a character that isn’t, they have nothing to say but insults.

Sakura is supposed to start off as a b**tch, she’s supposed to freeze-up during crucial fights, she’s supposed to be a naive, 12 year old girl who has never experienced too much hardship in her life. But that all changes as she creates friendships and bonds with her teammates/friends and realizes just how wrong she was. She grows and develops like a real person. Not only does she vow to change, but she goes through hell(Tsunade’s training) to actually go through with it. She becomes independent, strong, and determined.

But still NOT perfect. She defeated Sasori, but not without Chiyo’s help. She still makes mistakes and she still let’s her emotions get the best of her. It’s only been 2 years. She still has a lot of growing up to do.

That’s what makes a good character. Not being a perfect shy innocent little goddess, not having the strongest techniques, not having the sappiest back story. It’s a realistic character who grows from the experiences/hardships in their life and from the friends and companions they meet.

That’s just my opinion, of course….

I have to be honest.. I think Sakura is simply amazing as a character. In fact, I would extend that compliment to just about every character in Naruto.

Kishi has done a superb job in developing all of his characters... and what female out there has not felt the same way Saukra has at one time or another? She's the epitome of all young females rolled together in the form of a Leaf Nin.

She's not too pretty, but she is beautiful. She's not some airhead- she is grounded and serious enough to be the best at what she's learned- being a medic. She second guesses herself, but still goes with her best gut instinct. She could mend a bloody comrad and not bat an eyelash, but a single stupid comment from Naruto puts her over the edge.

Don't hate Saukra... she's just like all of us. :)

<=3 She was totally useless-ugly- in the first part of the series.And I can't tolerate her just because she learned how to punch in Shippuuden.
<=3 Ok.She can punch things now.But NOT NARUTO!Why is she doing that?Sick sadits.

'...Once upon a time,NaruSaku was possible...but bitch Sakura thought she was beautiful enough for Sasuke...She refused cute Naru-kun who thought he was in love with -ugly-Sakura,and treated him like a trash.Sasuke did the same to her...Three years past.Now Sasuke was gone,and Naruto was back from his training (btw,he wanted to bring Sasuke back for himself) and he was more mature,he wasn't clinging on to -ugly-Sakura like he used to anymore.Sakura was lonely -and ugly-,she was starting to love Naruto,and Naru-kun seemed like he still had some feelings for her too,but obviously he was WAY more obsessed with Sasuke and bringing him back to Konoha.(ya know,~~Brothery Love~~ <) He's even hit her because she told him to stop going after Sasuke (:D okay,he was in kyuubi mode and all but...:D).Sasuke joined PedOro's harem, he was still as Sasugay as ever.It was clear,every single fan could see who he was in love with...' ....And story teller couldn't finish the story,'cuz she gave enough spoilers,and she wasn't sure about how the story was going to end.She shut her mouth and got ready to face angry ugly!Sakura fans. 

<=3 AHAHAHAHAHAHA i...hahaha SasuSaku?!For God's sake Sasuke seriously hates her.Okay, he said "Arigatou..",and it is an improvment compare to "You're annoying" or "you're nosy" but don't get over excited LOL There are more SasuNaru moments then SasuSaku moments in Naruto Series.
 Ahh...Anyways,I think Sakura and Lee completes each other~ LeeSaku FTW  ô.< lol

I loved Sakura before the time skip, and she's an even better character now in Shippuuden. There is no reason to hate Sakura except the immature comments such as: 'Sakura is ugly', 'Sakura is weak', and my favourite, 'Sakura is an immature annoying bratt' <---(Still living in the past, huh?)

 I saw Sakura start to change around the episodes of the Chunin exams. There was nothing wrong in the beginning, she simply liked a boy who went by the name of Sasuke, and there is no reason to blame her for that. If you look back on the flashbacks that no one likes to pay attention to, Sakura as a kid was always depressed because she was teased for her big forehead. And we can all blame Ino for Sakura's crush on Sasuke.

 It was simply Sakura's phase to act all annoying because she was trying to impress her friend Ino and her crush Sasuke. She was trying to prove a point back then, and she may have went the wrong way in doing that, but her character grew. It's her personality to be angry and rude to Naruto, that's just the way Masashi made her. And most of girls (not all), have the same personality towards boys. Whether it's flirting or punching the shit out of someone.

So could most of you non-Sakura fans actually try understanding the purpose of Sakura's character without using immature comments. It would be best if most actaully have a back-up statement to why they dislike Sakura, which they do, just aren't very good ones, knowing that can be blocked out easily with flashbacks and Shippuuden.

I sed to hate Sakura with a PASSION, and thought she was the most obnoxious female character I'd ever seen, but recently, I've been rewatching Naruto and all of a sudden, she's become one of my favorite characters ever! XD

Mikaila, you took the words right out of my mouth. Sakura is a strong, well-written, realistic character who undergoes some of the greatest characters in the whole series, growing from a bratty, shallow little girl into a kinder, more independant young woman who's biggest desire is to become stronger in order to protect her friends.

But in Hinata's defense, just because a female character is shy and innocent, with endearing qualities that make you want to root for her, doesn't necessarily make her a bad character, or a Mary Sue... But that's just my two cents. ^_^
