Built by Apple, Safari is the default browser on Mac OS X . It’s clean, un-cluttered and fast. Text renders beautifully, and java loads quickly. While some recommend Firefox, many Mac users still gravitate towards Safari.

Today, with recent updates, Windows users are now enjoying the benefits of Safari. 2 times faster than Internet Explorer, the default on Windows, Safari is becoming even more appealing to non-Mac users.

I have Firefox and Safari running together. I love Firefox and its extensions, but I keep using Safari as my main browser. It just feels right!

Ya, I really dig Safari because it’s always been a lot faster than Firefox (though this has changed since Firefox 1.5, which is much faster that 1.0!)

I like the Firefox extensions, but I couldn’t live without Safari’s RSS capabilities. I just love Safari’s way of displaying RSS feeds, that’s the main Reason I am not using Firefox.

I use Safari as my main browser, mainly because everything is sleek and fast, and as some other people have pointed out, Safari’s RSS reader surpasses any other browser’s built-in RSS reader. When I used my Windows box, I used Firefox all the time, but now I use it very sparsely and only when I absolutely need to.

It took me about a month to ween myself off of Firefox. As a browser, and nothing more, there is very little to compete against Firefox on the OS X side of the fence. The only gripe I have is the border on text boxes which Safari – at its current build – insists on rendering despite border styling being specified in stylesheets.

Regarding your rhetoric question on IE I might say it’s absent even if they say that IE7 has a lot of improvements. Safary works fine, but the force of habit made me use both Firefox and Opera, the last one being my favorite. Many of my colleagues in http://www.silveradoboysranch.com/ use it.

I just downloaded Safari this past week and have since switched it to my default browser. What’s not to love? Private browsing options and twice as fast as IE!

i have tried ie8,opera,google chrome,firefox,safari. safari is faster than any other browser and never crashes. safari is a MUST download.

I used to not like Safari but now i luv it when the new 4.0 version came out its soo fast and cool!

wow, 3 years… lol. Safari is still the fastest, most powerful, best looking browser, I thought safari 3 was amazing before jumping to 4, which personally I didn’t think was as good, but i got used to it and explored and I realised its much faster. Currently 4x faster than IE and 2.1 more so than firefox according to apple :D Mac ftmfw
