Brilliant Comedian. Excellent shows such as ‘The Office’ and ‘Extras’. Some brilliant stand-up such as ‘Animals’ and ‘Politics’. Had the most downloaded podcast – ‘The Ricky Gervais Show’ with Steve Merchant and Karl Pilkington. A brilliant legacy! Everything this man does is brilliant.

The Brentmeister is a genius. Gervais almost singlehandedly changed the way we look at and admire comedy: no laughter track; fly-on-the-wall style camerawork; an obsession with the minutiae of life; and complete and utter understatement without the telegraphing of each joke. Everything he touches becomes a masterclass of comedy. Incidentally, people who like “My Family” should be put down – inhumanely.

fame was sooo disappointing :( but i am a HUGE fan. easily the best british comedian alive. which makes him the best comedian in the world ;D
