I have only seen the first three movies and this one was my favorite. Rescuing Han Solo and Princess Leia, the flying motorbikes and Luke learning about his real family were some great moments.
I liked how there were 3 plot lines working in parallel, and depending on each other. It created great tension when they needed to get the death stars shields down, so the rebel ships could make there assault. And then watching that from Luke Skywalker’s view, and how pissed off he was getting from not helping, but also knowing that he is being manipulated by the emperor.
“star wars” was good; “empire strikes back” was excellent.
the poor plot and writing of “return of the jedi” makes it my candidate for the most disappointing movie of all time (and one of the worst movies of all time).

Why weren’t the new Star Wars like that?
