Well, I don't want to be killed.  So I'll refrain until everyone's read the book … sniff ... even though it's KILLING me …

It always make me so sad… I never want the book to end.

I'm quite happy when I arrive at the end of a book. A book for me is always a terrible fight (and I am reading all the time). For the first half of a book I always need three quarter of the time then it speeds up and goes quicker and quicker.

I'm constantly saying to myself "please don't suck…please don't suck…" We all know about those authors who can write great stories but don't know how to finish them.

I wouldn't call it a terrible fight to read a good book, but aside from that, I am with swissbob on this question. I am always quite happy to arrive at the end! However, it happens occasionally that after some time, a day or so, I find myself feeling somewhat empty and thinking about the book…. I suppose I become attached to a book that keeps me company for long enough time, and finishing the book is then like saying good bye to a friend.

I get this thrill from knowing the ending of a really terrific book, but then afterwards I become pretty sad because it's over. The escape of the book is something I would want to last. But, there are always other books.

Fills you and leaves you empty at the same time…

This week-end I have the intention to start reading Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey. This book hangs around in my flat since the year one but his 765 pages used to scare me. When (and if) I arrive to the last page I will inform you. (In about two years.)

I just finished Rant and a I'm really confused as to if i liked it or not.  Palahniuk is slowly becomming an empty shell of his former self.  Any thoughts?
