Purikuras are Japanese Photobooth pictures.
There's also videkura (video purikura).
Purikura is short for purinto kurabu or print club.You can add stickers, different backgrounds, draw on it, and fit a lot of people in it.
A popular trend everywhere especially in Asia.

there was one point of time where my friends would take purikura every single week!

we don't take them anymore, its quite expensive to think of it.
