no havanaafair cos the exploited were also a punk band a very good one too in the late 70’s they werent very big though but theyre a great band :) yes im very old school for a 13 year old haha :)

there were a lot of punk bands out there (none now tho, ESPECIALLY not green day they are NOT punk) but very few actual PUNKS. punk is a lifestyle and a mentality not wearing leather jackets and spitting blood and shouting ANARCHY at the top of your voice when u dont even know what it means. punk stands for something and its a view on government and politics and a way of life. which is why its not so prevelent today becuz no one has time to oppose political oppression of any form as we're all too busy on facebook and bestuff.com. no one really cares about stuff like that anymore and social networking sites like twitter are what ppl use instead of their voices and their middle fingers and their guitars nowadays. we can sit in the comfort of our own homes as we wear our anarchy sign tshirts and renounce the government without our true identity ever being revealed and without ever having to get up and say anything to anyones faces (not that it would really do much anyway lol) and that, my friend, is not punk. thats just...i dont even know. but punk is having the fucking guts to get up and get in peoples faces and say FUCK YOU i wont do what you say and i wont follow your sodding rules. and thats what the sex pistols and the exploited (thankyou) were all about. there is no such thing as punk these days no ones brave enough to sit on their ass and do nothing and put their two fingers up to corrrupt authority like sid vicious did. granted, he was lazy and useless but you gotta hand it to him for doing the ONE thing EVERYBODY (including me) wishes they had the guts to do: NOTHING.
p.s. i am so proud of you for being old school at 13 becuz we need more ppl like you who appreciate the awesomness of the past instead of saying that anything past two years ago is 'old' and outdated and crap. so CONGRATULATIONS. im pretty old school for a 15 yr old lol so hi five, and pretty opinated and i can get rly passionate about topics once i get into them so sorry for 'yelling' or anything... nothing personal mate
