What an amazing bridge! I can only imagine the things that have happened there over the centuries. Even the Nazis couldn’t bring themselves to blow it up as they retreated. They had it all wired, but they didn’t pull the trigger. Great place!
Thanks Rick. You are right about that World War II episode. The Germans saved the Ponte Vecchio. And you probably know also that Ponte Vecchio resisted to the terrible 1966 flood. xxxx C.
