Apologies to Italy, but I have a rather plain palette; all this olive oil and spices don't agree with me.  Give me cheese, please.  And maybe pepperoni.  On quite boring plain dough.  With limited sauce.

For Precipitation: I don't know where you come from, but I am sure - wherever it is - that your country too has done something bad for which it should apologise to the rest of the world. Pretty sure about it. That's history, and human nature, unfortunately.

p.s. Kittilyn: who told you that the typical Italian pizza is with spices and olives? Have you ever tried a real Italian pizza?

As far as I know, a real Italian pizza, the basic one, is the 'Margherita' type, which happens to be quite similar to the one you like, Kittilyn. That is, as pointed out by Gbman: dough, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese. Nothing else. Maybe just a leaf of basil as dressing ;)

You see, Kitti, I think the main difference talking about pizzas has to do with the crust, how thick it is and the way it is baked. Toppings are left to one's preferences, and do not make a real difference, I believe.

Italian pizza's crusts are usually well baked and crunchy, and not too thick. ;)

Ooh, the crust is good any way with me.  Thick, thin, stuffed with cheese .... ooh.  Yum. 

The crust is probably the best part of the pizza ... that, and the cheese, and the sauce.

 ok Nick and Clara as much as I agree if you invented it you probably have the best and I've never been to italy to try it my self so im taking your word on but some pizza in new york especially coming from little italy is quite delicious and it has to at least come in a close second ;)

Although one of the best pizza I ever had was in Germany! -lots of Southern Italians there..

Dumbbrunette: A tyipical Florentine dish is the T-bone steak - which of course I dislike, lol - and then the 'Ribollita'.... a vegetable soup with bread, cabbage, and many other vegetables, which to me is delicious.

And then... there is the red red WINE!!! Ever tried our Chianti? lol

As you can see, Italy is very different in terms of food, and not only that....;)

p.s. Nick's pizza is delicious, I swear...
