Piteco is a Comic Book character, Monica's Gang Cavern Clan protagonist, created in 1964 by Mauricio de Sousa and set on the Stone Age.
His whole name is Pithecanthropus Erectus da Silva, and he lives at Lem Village. He is always hunting dinosaurs and fishing, many times without results. He has many enemies, but he fears primely a woman named Tooga, that wants to marry him against his wishes.
In the most early stories, Piteco found Horácio (another character, a small philosophical T-rex) in his egg, but he troubled Lem and was forced to leave.(from wikipedia)
