Pinky is a laboratory mouse that shares his cage with Brain on the TV show Pinky and the Brain
Pinky, due to his knack for asking completely out-of-context questions, is regarded by most to be off his rocker. However, if one understands Pinky’s thought processes, one can see that he in fact has a great imagination coupled to a very highly developed level of extrapolation.
While his best buddy Brain tries night after night in vain to take over the world, failing every time, Pinky stands by him and points out the errors in his plans.
One might say that in reference to their theme song’s declaration that “one is a genius, the other’s insane,” it pertains to Pinky and the Brain respectively.
