They might say it’s reflective but you have to stick your head between your legs and dislocate your arms to do any sort of reflective programming… Seriously, go Ruby, go Rails.
PHP is dead! It was dead before it was even born!
Who cares even if it’s dead? Still many many many website administrator use php, including me. I think it’s the best :)
it’s the best of the best
It is actually really great. Alot of people use it.
I agree it’s one of the best things in the world!
Just because a lot of people use it doesn’t mean it’s the best. I’m a seasons PHP programmer and I can safely say that the language is inconsistent and unintuitive. Ruby fixes all of this for me. I do have a certain affinity for PHP , however, and am sad to realize it’s the very beginning of the end for PHP .
People who think, PHP is the best programming language haven’t tried many other programming languages. PHP is planless and unclean.
I code PHP for 7 years now, I’ve used many different languages in my whole life before. But PHP – sorry guys. Now I’m going to learn Rails, it’s a dream of a language!
PHP is the best technology for web development !
Ruby on Rails ? It's not as scalable as PHP ! Let try to use RoR for the large site like Flickr, and you will see. An expert at Sun realized that PHP is more scalable than Java on presentation layer. Some benchmarks show that PHP is faster than ASP.NET.
Let see, Wikipedia, Flickr, almost sites of Yahoo, facebook, del.icio.us, technorati ... are using PHP, and I think this site is PHP too !
Useful scripting language if used with a great deal of care, but not really a programming language…
I'm been programming with ASP.NET (C#) and PHP for about two years and I can safetly say PHP is way better than the .NET platform! Ruby, IMHO, is a better scripting language than PHP but with Ruby on Rails, it's a pain in the @ss to deploy on shared hosts meanwhile PHP just work when deploying! That's why I stick with PHP with some of my clients. PHP and Ruby both have their pros and cons. Ruby is my favorite language in the end.
And BTW, PHP is far from dead!
yeah offcource php is the best server side scripting language!!
