Philosophy is a field of study that includes diverse subfields such as aesthetics, epistemology, ethics, logic, and metaphysics, in which people ask questions such as whether God exists, what is the nature of reality, whether knowledge is possible, and what makes actions right or wrong. The fundamental method of philosophy is the use of reasoning to evaluate arguments concerning these questions. However, the exact scope and methodology of philosophy is not rigid. What counts as philosophy is itself debated, and it varies across philosophical traditions.

I never felt more stylish :)
Funny, with this amount of people that added this…..no single conversation has started here.
It's so broad. There are or were conversations going in various subcatagories I have added.
Why don't you start one?
i suppose i could, but not now sorry
had enough of today. and by the way i dont claim this is the best (its good but not the best ;-))
Well, you did start a conversation anyway.
How about Absurdism? Wasting time finding meaning... into Nihilism, it's all random and cruel, there is no point, evolve to the highest point and die... start all over again.. into Existentialism, taking responsibility for your own action, accepting the absurd, doing... applying theory to action. What do you do... what do you do? When life is full of so many parts they don't show in movies. When the parts they do show are but seconds long and are only interesting upon reflection. The big picture makes life seem bleak. Let's talk about how to live. Not in fucking generalizations either. I want fucking specifics.
hmz i really cant make up anything from your question. because it has so much in and outs.
every person has his own life and to talk about specifics it all depends on how that life is.
And then i didnt talked about "good" is for every person diffrent
"Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it"
Karl Marx (Theses on Feuerbach)
Depends on the philosophy. Depends on what needs changed, if anything at all.
what vano says. There are studys of business philosophy, criminal philosophy and policital philosophy.
And it happen to be karl marx really didnt had his philosophy pocitical based on reality.
Well, it would suck being poor and living under terrible conditions. If I was Marx, I might say that too. However, that isn't a universal concept. He wanted action. That doesn't mean that that's what philosophy is about.
i dont know if that is the reason for writing stuff like he did. Beeing poor mostly brings in religion, while he did the opposite.
But iwonder what he say about stalin if those two could talk to each other
something like "you didnt understand me, did you?"
In Stalin's case, I don't think Communism was the drive. More like control. Power. That's a huge problem with Marx's theories. His idea of Socialism sounds nice in some ways, but Communism as a first step puts too much power into the hands of a few, in Stalin's case, one. Not to mention all of the "necessary" executions needed for the change to occur.
people who are on Philosophy..
are really good thinkers..
hmmm....
im AB PHILOSOPHY studetn!
Not necessarily.
Asking questions which our brain is not capable of percieving.. ahh the impossible! The skill to reason and achieve critical thinking… an open mind for anything and everything.
Misused and overused. Things seem to lose their luster once repeated a number of times.
